LEGAZPI CITY, June 12, 2017 – “ I hope that what the Filipino heroes fought for our freedom from the hands of foreign invaders will not be put in vain”, said Mayor Noel E. Rosal on Monday during the 119th  commemoration of the Philippine  Independence and the 58th Legazpi City Charter  Day held  at the Peñaranda Park, this city.

The celebration was participated by the City Officials, Gov. Al Francis C. Bichara and personnel from the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection,  Philippine Coast Guard, and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, city and provincial government employees, veterans and senior citizens.

Rosal said that we should continue with our fight daily battles to include poverty, peace and order,  health, progress, and development for the benefits of the constituents.  He urged the public to support Federalism as an opportunity for the provinces to manage their own resources that will lead to a progressive community. He further said that commemorating the City’s 58th Charter Day,  his administration will continue working aggressively so that the public will reap its benefits. (Mar de la Cruz)
