 LEGAZPI CITY (Feb. 28) – The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office is continuously serving the public on their medical needs. This was disclosed by Albay PCSO Branch Manager Nelly Loyola in an exclusive interview with DZGB News here.

Loyola said that PCSO’s Individual Medical Assistance Program caters to hospitalization fees, medicines and laboratory fees and other medical procedures for free to aid patients in paying their hospital bills. But professional fees for doctors and room payments are not included in IMAP.

All classes of ailments and confinements except for normal child delivery can be applied for the IMAP. IMAP beneficiaries can be given a maximum of P50,000 financial assistance per patient. Albay PCSO Branch has P400,000 allocation per day for people in dire need of medical assistance. Disbursement of assistance is directly given to hospitals and other medical facilities where patients has standing bills.

Loyola called on the public to patronize all the games like lotto, keno, sweepstakes and small time lottery to increase the allocation of charity funds to sustain their intervention programs for the patients in need of medical assistance. (Mar de la Cruz with reports from Luence Barcena)
