DAIRY BOX opens in Albay Farmers Bounty Village
CAMALIG,
ALBAY Mar 11 - A NEW pasalubong center that offers healthy treats is now in Albay
province. Dairy Box, located in Albay Farmers Bounty Village at Cabangan,
Camalig, Albay, features a lot of coolers and treats to choose from—all of
which are made with fresh carabao milk or cara milk. Processed by Albay Dairy
Plant and marketed by Albay Agriculture Cooperative.
Cara
milk, containing lower cholesterol but packed with calories and fats, is way
better than cow milk. Since the former is composed of higher total solids, cara
milk is thicker, creamier and richer than cow milk. It also has the ability to
preserve naturally for a longer period of time, because of its high peroxidase
activity.
DAIRY
BOX Albay, also offers pasalubong goodies such as kesong puti, pastillas and
Albay's best products like pili, tablea, mushroom chips, sili sauce & many
more which are richly infused with cara
milk.
DAIRY
BOX Albay is a project of Provincial Government of Albay thru the leadership of
Gov. Al Francis Bichara thru Albay Veterinary Office ( AVO) and Philippine
Carabao Center located at Albay Farmers Bounty Village. Cabangan, Camalig.
DAIRY BOX Albay has a spacious area for everyone who wishes to spend time bonding with friends, studying, or just letting time pass while enjoying the great taste of cara milk packed foods and drinks.
The
Philippine Carabao Center (PCC) and the local government of Albay also launches
the Farmer Livestock School on Dairy Buffalo Production, Tuesday, March 10 at
the Farmers Auditorium here. PCC said it is a hands-on program wherein they
will go the the farm to conduct actual training to farmers. The center also
encourage farmers to engage in carabao milk production as additional source of
income. The provincial government of Albay will add 50 heads of Buffalo from the carabao center to boost cara milk production program (NMmdl)
