STO. DOMINGO, ALBAY MAINTAINS COVID-19 FREE STATUS



Sto. Domingo, Albay, June 4, 2020 – It’s NEGATIVE. This is the announcement made by Mayor Joseling “Jun” Aguas upon receipt of the result of for the confirmatory test made for the two (2) Balik-Banwa Domingueño Program Beneficiaries that registered positive in the Rapid Test conducted upon arrival on May 31.

The two (2) were residents of Brgy. San Roque and Brgy. San Juan respectively who got stucked in Metro Manila during the height of COVID-19 pandemic when Luzon was placed under Enhanced Community Quarantine. LGU Sto. Domingo headed by Aguas and the Sangguniang Bayan members launched the program to fetch the Locally Stranded Individuals (mostly workers) from Manila.

DRRMO Chief Engr. Ed Balidoy in an interview with DZGB News disclosed that the two were permitted to go home but must undergo the home quarantine protocol as advised by Municipal Health Officer Dr. Albert Alisna.

Meanwhile, LGU awaits for the release of the confirmatory test of another two (2) individuals from the fourteen (14) LSI’s that arrived the other day fromTanza, Cavite  who turned out positive during the Rapid Test conducted. All of these LSI’s were subjected to 14-day mandatory quarantine at the LGU’s quarantine facility in MVNP Lidong, Sto. Domingo, Albay. Mayor Aguas enjoined Domingueños  for prayers for a favorable confirmatory test results. He said LGU is on tight watch for the returning LSI’s to ensure safety of his constituents.
